Readerwear Reading Glasses opened the doors of its Kitsilano location in April 2001, giving Vancouver a new option when shopping for ready-to-wear reading glasses. 

Readerwear recognized that today's baby boomer was not satisfied with the selection of reading glasses found in the drug store.  People wanted more choice and more style, without having to pay a couple of hundred dollars for prescription glasses.   

More Choice
We offer over 700 pair of ready-to-wear reading glasses in diopters from +0.75 to +4.00.  While a drug store may offer up to 10 different styles in each diopter, Readerwear can offer up to 60.

We have readers to fit anyone's needs, whether you are looking for a half eye, full eye, rimless, compact, or sun reader, you will have plenty to choose from.

The reading glasses that we sell are optical opthalmic quality, meaning that they could be used for prescription eyewear.  All our readers have aspheric lenses, offering you distortion free sight and lightweight comfort.  Frame materials are of the highest quality ranging from monel and stainless steel, to multilayered acetate plastics.  All our products carry a manufacturers 60 day warranty.
