If I order a bifocal from you and I change my mind, can I return or exchange my order? 1. Why would I wear a bifocal? A bifocal allow you to see both at a distance and near in one lens. This stops you from either having to peer over your reading glasses, or take them off entirely, when you want to look at a distance. 2. How does a bifocal work? In a ready-to-wear bifocal the top portion of the lens has no power or correction. Lowering your eye to the bifocal segment allows you to focus at a near distance. 3. Is it hard to get used to wearing a bifocal? Once you wear it a few times it becomes second nature. It is no different than wearing your readers low on your nose and looking over the top. 4. What should I look for when I buy bifocals? The main thing to look for is that bifocal portions, known as segments, are even on both lenses. That is to say, when looking straight on at the glasses, each segment should be at the same height from the bottom of the frame, and from the sides. Proper placement of the segments allow for more comfortable use. Any bifocal does not line up like this should be rejected. 5. What is the difference between bifocals and progressives? The main differences are that bifocals only have two seperate portions to the lens and there is a line seperating the two. Progressives have no line seperating the sections, and the top and bottom portions blend into each other. 6. Why don't you sell progressives on your website? We know that there are a lot of websites that sell progressive glasses online, but we believe that online shopping is not necessarily the best place to buy progressives. Unlike bifocals, progressives must take into account your PD (distance in between your pupils). Your PD measurement is very important and needs to be accurate for progressives to perform properly. We believe this should only be done in person for proper results. Often we have people come in to the store with ready-to-wear progressives they purchased online and are wondering why they are not working very well. When we check, the PD is almost always incorrect. 7. If I order a bifocal from you and I change my mind, can I return or exchange my order? You can return any online purchase within 30 days of purchase for any reason. Please contact us for a return authorization and instructions for returning a product. You will be responsible for paying the shipping charges to return the item(s) back to us. Please note that returned products must be in resalable condition with no signs of use.
