4 Tips For Finding the Right Reading Glasses

You might think that it`s not too important to have flattering reading glasses, but why wouldn`t it be? The last thing you want is to have to pull them out in public and look like a dork rather than a suave, intellectual George Clooney type...are we right, gentlemen? Of course we are, this is our blog after all and reading glasses happen to be what we are all about!
 

Whether you are a man hoping to look like your favorite Hollywood baby boomer whose declining eyesight doesn`t happen to impact his sex appeal, or a woman looking for that sexy librarian look rather than aging school marm, there are guidelines that will help you get stylish reading glasses when it comes time to shop!

1. Know what`s right for your face shape - the rule of thumb, is to try glasses that are the opposite of your face shape. If you try round reading glasses on a round face, you`ll only look even rounder; and the same applies for square face shape. Choose the opposite style, and you will get a better look!

2.  Get the right size - oversized sunglasses might be popular right now, but when it comes to eyeglasses for reading, the same style trends do not apply. Choose glasses that are neither too big nor too small in terms of the shape, style and size of the frames.

3. Know what colours look good on you - just as you would with clothing, try to stick with colour choices that are flattering. You may gravitate towards red reading glasses, but if that`s not your colour, they won`t do you any favours. Also choose frame colours for your reading glasses that mesh well with your wardrobe colours; you can never go wrong with neutrals!

4. Don`t go for the trends - particularly right now as celebrities are wearing glasses for no reason other than for style, it may be tempting to purchase reading glasses that are similar to the trends. These can quickly go out of style, so unless you`re prepared to buy new glasses frequently, you`ll find your style looks dated.
