Baby Boomer Fashion Tips for Aging in Style!
As we are all getting a bit older, it's hard to know how to dress stylishly. Boomers, as if you didn't know already, you're no longer in your 20's so many of the fashion trends that you're seeing in the stores will just make you look like you're trying too hard to look younger. You'll actually do yourself a favour by dressing in more age appropriate clothing items, and you'll draw less attention to your age when people aren't nudging each other going "hey look at that guy wearing clothes like us, I wonder how old he IS?" Not sure how to get started with your new fashion habits? Here are some tips! 1. Make sure your clothing fits properly - skip the trendy skin-tight t-shirts that you're seeing in all the stores. Make sure you have shirts that are roomy across the back and shoulders, but not so loose that you're drowning in them otherwise you'll find yourself mimicking another young trend. Pants should be straight-legged and it's wise to avoid pleats or you may age yourself prematurely! 2. Get a short hair cut - if your hair is thinning or graying a shorter haircut will help you accentuate your best features! 3. Don't be afraid of colour - getting older doesn't mean you can only wear greys, browns and blacks. Add a pop of colour to every outfit that accentuates your eye colour and skin tone so you look more youthful in the right way. 4. Experiment with glasses styles - glasses are the one fashion item you can really experiment with when it comes to trends, regardless of your age. So, consider this the one area of your wardrobe where you have no limitations. Just make sure that you get something that's flattering and effectively vision enhancing, and you're all set!
