How to Care for Your Reading Glasses: 3 Tips to Make Them Last
At some point in time everyone who wears glasses ends up breaking them. You throw them into your purse and they get scratched by your keys, or they fall off and you end up sitting on them. Improper care can lead to damage, too. Think just because you're over 40 you're smart enough to know how to care for your reading glasses? We don't, so read on! 1. Use a case - having your glasses in a case when they're not in use can ensure that they're protected no matter where they are! When you're at home, keeping that case in the same place will ensure you can always find them. If they're lost you should always check on top of your head just in case you forgot they were there. Seriously! 2. Clean them properly - rinse them off with water first to protect the lens from scratches. Then use a microfiber cloth to remove finger prints and other marks! 3. Make sure they fit - have your eyeglasses adjusted using a repair kit, or bring them into your local trendy reading glasses store! If they don't fit, they're more likely to fall off your face and break. Taking good care of your reading glasses will ensure that they last as long as you want them to. Of course, if you need an excuse to purchase a new, trendy pair of glasses you can neglect to do all of the above...but we don't recommend it because you can buy new ones and still use the old ones as a backup!
