Types of Reading Glasses

Here are the five main types of reading glasses, each with their own advantages and disadvantages

Full Vision
Full frames provide uniform magnification over the entire lens.

Half Frames
Half frames allow you to glance over top of the frame for clear distance vision.

Bifocals
The upper portion of the lenses are clear.  Lowering your eyes to the bifocal section provides magnification for reading.

Sun Readers
Sun readers are tinted to provide safe reading in the sunshine.  They provide UV protection and are available in full vision or bifocal lenses.

Compact Readers
Comapct readers are able to be carried in a pocket or purse with ease.  No more carrying around a bulky eyeglass case.  The most popular compact readers are folding or are small enought to be slipped into a tube case.

Styles to fit your mood

For many the fun part about ready-to-wear reading glasses is that they are affordable enough to allow you to have several pairs.

Compact readers are perfect for keeping in a purse or pocket.

Tired of carrying around your readers?  A pair of compact reading glasses can easily be carried in a purse or pocket.

Perfect for pulling out to read a menu!
