Types of Reading Glasses
Here are the five main types of
reading glasses, each with their own advantages and
disadvantages .
Full
Vision
Full frames provide uniform magnification over the entire lens.
Half Frames
Half frames allow you to glance over top of the
frame for clear distance vision.
Bifocals
The upper portion of the lenses are clear.
Lowering your eyes to the bifocal section provides magnification for
reading.
Sun Readers
Sun readers are tinted to provide safe reading in the sunshine. They
provide UV protection and are available in full vision or bifocal
lenses.
Compact Readers
Comapct readers are able to be carried in a pocket or purse
with ease. No more carrying around a bulky eyeglass case. The
most popular compact readers are folding or are small enought to be slipped
into a tube case.
